I thought the article was pretty interesting. It's funny to me how something so, seemingly, insignificant as an apology could shape the relations of states and the world. I never thought of international relations as really being something anthropologists would be involved in, but it makes sense to me now how understanding the history of people and understanding their perspective makes finding peace solutions simpler.
