Our babies our selves?

I really do not think that how we are treated as infants will determine who we are? Even though that is not what the article says directly I do feel that is what it is getting at. They did not even have to list other countries to give examples how raising childern differs. Not one parent I know raises they babies the same and if i say something I get the what do I know I have no children speach.
